Poly 101 PDF - How To Install Polycarbonate Panels
> 16mm (5/8") TripleWall
Our most attractive multi-wall polycarbonate panel. Wider spacing of the internal ribs provides a more transparent appearance. The extra thickness of this panel (5/8") increases the insulation value to R 2.50. Channels trap air between 3 walls.
Cutting Note: 16mm TripleWall has wide flutes. When cutting a 4 ft wide panel to two 2 ft wide panels, one piece will be 24" and the other piece will be 23-1/2". Solution would be to purchase 16mm 5X-Wall Storm.
> 16mm (5/8") Super 5X-Wall Storm
Highest strength and insulation value, R = 2.78. This is the best panel to resist high winds, hail and snow loads. The extra strength is provided by 50% more internal ribs and a structural X webbing. This creates remarkable stiffness that can better resist stormy weather.
5X-Wall meets Miami-Dade standard for hurricanes. 16mm RDC Florida Approval Code 16699. (RDC = Reinforced Double Co-Extruded)
Installation: The flutes (channels) run the length of the panel. Install panel with flutes vertical. Panel ends should be capped or sealed with a vented tape that allows interior condensation to escape. Dimensions + or - 1/8".

Opal & Bronze Polycarbonate
The white tint in Opal provides a pleasant light diffusion that reduces glare and overheating. Unlike the Bronze panel, Opal allows more of the growing light spectrum needed by plants for healthy growth.
Opal is recommended for roof applications, especially in Southern states, and at higher elevations where solar radiation can be intense. The insulating, internal air space reduces condensation, making it ideal for a patio roof.
Bronze tint is attractive and is ideal for patio roof and walls. It provides shading, privacy, and minimizes condensation.
