Hard-Wire Fan Speed Control (weather-resistant), 120V, 5 amp

Perfect Ventilation - E3131

Continuously variable solid-state control lets you select the proper exhaust fan speed and minimum fan starting speed for your greenhouse. Also used on air circulation fans. Use only on fans and blowers with Shaded Pole, PSC, or Universal motor type.** Simply install on 1 wire leading to fan. Weather-resistant plastic housing. 120 volts, 5 amps.

A fan speed control is commonly used in the winter when less ventilation is required and too much cold air flow can harm greenhouse plants.

*  Fan speed range: 30% to 100%
       Great for direct control of 120V fans/ventilators
*  Can handle 5 full load amps at 120V
*  For use with variable speed fans
*  Weatherproof enclosure
*  Wiring required - Simply install on 1 wire leading to fan
*  Weather-resistant enclosure
*  Made in USA

(This Weather-Resistant Line Voltage Fan Control is hard-wired for installation by electrician or electrical contractor.)

** Motor type definitions:
Shaded Pole:  A shaded-pole motor is a small, self-starting motor in which the auxiliary winding is composed of a copper ring or bar surrounding a portion of each pole. Most greenhouse exhaust fans have a shaded pole motor.
PSC:  Permanent split capacitor (PSC) motors use a capacitor in one of the windings to increase the current lag between the two windings to make the rotor turn.
Universal:  The universal motor is a type of electric motor that can operate on either AC or DC power.  It uses an electromagnet as its stator to create its magnetic field. If a commutator and brushes are present, the motor can be classified as either a DC or an AC motor (Universal motor).
